Aleksandar Tasic, clarinetist (Vranje, 1976) graduated from ’Stanković’ music high school in Belgrade in the class of professor MiloÅ¡ Gerić.  He graduated and postgraduated clarinet at The Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in the class of professor Nikola Srdić.  He is currently attending PhD studies at the Faculty of Music, University of Arts in Belgrade, in the class of professor Ante Grgin. He mastered his skills at the master courses directed by Ricardo Morales professor at the Juilliard School of Music, New York, USA, professor Michael Colins (Royal Academy-London, England) and professor Michel Arrignon (Conservatoire Nacional Superier de Music – Paris, France). He won first prizes in the competition of Yugoslav pupils and students of music, but also in the competition of Jeunesse Musicale ’Laureats of Orpheus’ in 1998. The University in Novi Sad awarded him ‘Exceptional Award’ for his artistic activities, and in 2002 he won the scholarship of Austrian government. He performed as a soloist with UBS Festival orchestra (Switzerland), Novosibirsk Philharmonic orchestra, Symphony orchestra of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, Art ensemble Stanislav BiniÄki of the Serbian Army, with Belgrade string orchestra DuÅ¡an Skovran, Novi Sad Chamber orchestra, Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra, Isidora Žebeljan Orchestra, string orchestra Camerata Panonnica, and had concerts in Switzerland, The Netherlands, Russia and Serbia. He performed at some of the most important festivals in Serbia and abroad, such as NOMUS, BEMUS, International Tribune of Composers, Les Classiques de Villars (Switzerland), Verbier Festival & Academy (Switzerland), Reveries Musicales de Villars (Switzerland), Y4Y - Bangkok (Thailand), Music Festival in Schloss Elmau (Germany), Kotor-Art (Montenegro) and Bregenzer Festspiele (Austria). In the period between 2000 and 2006, Aleksandar Tasić performed as solo clarinetist with UBS Verbier Festival Orchestra (Switzerland) in numerous famous concert halls with world known conductors such as James Levine, Zubin Mehta, Kent Nagano, Wolfgang Sawalisch, Valery Gergiev, Claudio Vandelli and many others. From 2006 onwards, he is a permanent member of Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra at the position of a solo clarinetist and from this year, solo clarinetist of Orchestre Internationale de Geneve. He made recordings for TV and radio stations both in the country and abroad (RTS, BBC, ART TV, Netherlands Radio 4). He is an Associate professor of chamber music at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. He has been playing with a guitarist Zoran KrajiÅ¡nik in chamber duo since 2007., and recorded a CD “Ben Ritamto E Deciso†with capital works of classical and popular music for this ensemble.  Aleksandar Tasić is the artist of a famous clarinet brand Selmer, France, and plays the Recital clarinet model.
